Modern Day Slavery

I recently had a very passionate discussion with someone about the existence of modern day slavery and not just the ones that are bound by shackles. The all elusive American Dream of success with the white picket fence seems as far fetched now as unicorns, and having a mixed president doesn’t do any justice, when that president’s politics are increasingly more and more similar to the treacheries of the Cheney (Bush) administration. It’s no longer about race even though it’s ridiculous to deny it’s existence, the true evil now is CLASSISM. If you are of middle or lower class your freedom is at stake, and what is life worth without freedom? The laws that have been set forth in this past decade right under our noses our depriving us of true freedom, anyone who willingly gives up their rights in the name of security deserves none of the aforementioned. Therefore those of you who truly know that being an American means being an intelligent, courageous, compassionate, responsible citizen verses a legion of mindless automatons must stand up and fight for your rights!!! There are several legal proceedings that truly deserve our utmost attention, such as The Patriot Act and the attempt on taking away our second amendment The Right to bear arms which essentially is what differentiates us from other known police states (ie within Europe). It is our duty as American citizens to fight for the constitution which we by birth have inherited, or by choosing to call this our homeland, it doesn’t matter the color of your skin, how much money you have in the bank or even your intelligence to date you have the right to be free in this country so long you will protect it.

We have to take responsibility for where we are in this country for being submissive, allowing the gov’t which we put into place to pass laws that give us less and less of a voice and yet the Media and those less intelligent dare to condemn Communism???  My friends any misconceptions of the ideology should be revised for a DICTATORSHIP is far worse than any communist ideal! For those of you that agree with these proceedings take into account that those violent crimes you hear of will not be solved by banning the right to bear arms because if you research the statistics for yourself or even speak to locals where these things happen often you will come to find out that these weapons were obtained illegally so it will do absolutely NOTHING to lower crime. Those men and women who commit violent crimes obtain their guns through the black market, so how defenseless do you really want to find yourself when push comes to shove? As far as the patriot act, since when is it ok for the government to tap our phones and listen to our private lives at any point in time. Since when is it ok to be arrested without knowing what exactly your charges are and without having right to due process? These are things that are happening right under our noses and we must fight for what’s right! You must decide what that is but remember to THINK 4 YOURSELVES! Those with money aren't any better suited to know what is right for us, we must demand that our voices be heard and our Rights be protected. If we desire more transparency so we can better elect our officials than that is what should be given to us willingly. If not... then we must FIGHT back!
